Playing Catch-up

Somehow in the hustle and bustle of our "busy season," I just ran out of time to blog. I'm not trying to play catch-up and get myself back on track as we gear up for a FABULOUS fall. Stay tuned (we'll try to be better about posting) to the blog and to our FB Page for the latest happenings of Carey Roberts Design.

We had a great summer and dozens of events later, we're still excited about the beautiful events we have been a part of. Congratulations and THANK YOU to the many brides and grooms who have entrusted us with task of creating a design to fit your style and budget. I'm reminded why I do this when I see your glowing smiles and read your kind words following the event.

One of the most memorable events for me over the past several weeks was Emily & Shawn's wedding at Rock Barn Country Club. Emily's mom was overcome with emotion when she saw the flowers for the first time. Now, I'm not looking for brides and mothers to break out the tissues everytime we walk in the door, but it was a touching compliment. It is ALWAYS our goal to exceed our clients' expectations and a great feeling when we get a chance to see those expressions first-hand. Thanks, guys for letting us be a part of your big day!!

Congratulations to our May 9th Brides

Thank you Jessica and Matthew for sharing your wedding day with us. We had a blast getting to know you (Jessica) and working with you to complete the final details of your event. First Presbyterian Church (Belmont, NC) was a beautiful ceremony site and Pine Island Country Club (Charlotte, NC) provided lots of good food and a night of fun. Guests enjoyed a yummy cake by Brenda's Cake Gallery (Belmont, NC). Congratulations!

Congratulations Sarah & Phillip

We had a blast working with Sarah to make her wedding day everything she wanted and more! River Hills Country Club (Lake Wylie, SC) was the site for the wedding & reception. Brenda's Cake Gallery (Belmont, NC) topped off the evening with a yummy cake!

May Weddings

We are proud to have provided designs for Kimberly Brosamer and Earl Jenkins (May 1, 2009). Their ceremony & reception were held at the Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. Melanie Rowe Catering of Rock Hill took care of the delicious food and Gail Buff of Cheesecakes, Etc. in Charlotte made the delicious cheesecake assortment.

Christy Painter Weds Chris Orr

We had a blast this past weekend creating just the right blend for Christy Painter and Chris Orr's wedding celebration. Christy, the sister-in-law of our own Jennifer Painter, married Chris at Kilgo United Methodist Church in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood.

Their guests enjoyed a fun evening and lots of fantastic food at Byron's Southend (catering by Best Impressions), topped off with a yummy cake by Brenda's Cake Gallery.

It was a beautiful evening and we are honored to have been a part of such a memorable occasion, thank you Christy and Chris!

Don't forget the Groom!

So weddings are typically all about the bride -- a ring with lots of bling, a stunning gown and a bouquet that will leave the single girls dreaming and the married girls reminiscing.

But what about the groom? Gone are the days where the only boutonniere given consideration is a rosebud. Our grooms will be making a splash of their own this year with the latest designs pinned on their lapel. Check out these samples.
